Delivery Manager – IT Delivery – Supply Chain

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our supply chain partners in delivering IT solutions that align with our business strategies and objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and successful delivery of IT projects within allocated budgets and quality standards, while also fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring regulatory compliance.

 

**Essential Requirements:**

– Proven experience in leading the delivery of IT projects, including multi-million-pound projects, using both agile and waterfall methodologies.

– Demonstrated experience in delivering projects in complex and fast-paced environments.

– Previous experience in an outsourced model, either as a client or supplier.

– Accountability for all aspects of project delivery, including financial management and commercial negotiation.

 

**Desirable Experience:**

– Proficiency in project management processes such as risk management, change control, and quality management.

– Experience in successfully engaging with senior stakeholders in challenging environments.

– Experience in the aviation, logistics, or regulatory industries.

– Exposure to big data, cloud, and automation projects.

– Familiarity with working in a matrix environment.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. **Leadership and Coordination of Suppliers:**

– Lead and coordinate supply chain partners to ensure the successful delivery of IT capabilities required to achieve business priorities.

– Review and agree on project delivery plans, ensuring alignment with defined business outcomes and deadlines.

– Ensure smooth transition to business as usual support after project completion.

  1. **Project Sponsorship and Stakeholder Engagement:**

– Work closely with key partners to understand and define business needs, ensuring alignment with project scope and objectives.

– Lead project scope definition and manage scope changes through the defined approval process.

  1. **Investment Governance and Portfolio Planning:**

– Support the creation of business cases, identifying clear benefits and critical success factors.

– Assist in the development of the business strategy and determine the portfolio of projects necessary to achieve strategic objectives.

  1. **Visibility of Dependencies and Risk Mitigation:**

– Identify dependencies across projects and mitigate risks to successful project delivery.

– Ensure that risks are identified and mitigation plans are in place to address potential challenges.

  1. **Regulatory Compliance and Performance:**

– Establish appropriate project governance structures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

– Engage with airline customers as needed to ensure alignment with industry standards and regulations.

  1. **Commercial Management:**

– Engage and contract with appropriate suppliers to support IT delivery.

– Ensure adherence to procurement processes and standards, including appropriate contract mechanisms.

  1. **Project Reporting:**

– Compile accurate and timely project progress reports, including landmark delivery, risk and issues, and financials.
