Product Owner – Retail

Salary- £55,000 – £65,000

Location – London/Watford (3 days per week + 2 day remote)

Oakleaf Technology have partnered with a global retail organisation who have over 500 stores across 10 different countries, and they’re currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner to join their team and lead product development initiatives for existing projects. The Product Owner will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to define project requirements, prioritise features, and drive the successful delivery of various projects within the retail sector.

Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, business analysts, and development teams, to gather and prioritise project requirements.
* Define and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with project goals and client needs.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
* Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any issues or concerns.
* Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
* Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for innovation within the retail industry.
* Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and engaging user experiences that meet client objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.
* Continuously monitor project performance metrics, such as velocity and sprint burndown, and implement process improvements to optimize team productivity and delivery efficiency.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably within the retail industry.
* Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively articulate project requirements and priorities.
* Experience managing product backlogs and prioritizing features based on business value and client feedback.
* Proficiency in project management tools, such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.
* Knowledge of retail industry trends, technologies, and best practices is desirable.
* Certification in Agile/Scrum (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus.
