We are working with a forward-thinking organisation seeking an IT Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure AD (Entra), along with a strong understanding of network and firewall architectures. This role is vital in driving the transformation of our IT infrastructure, focusing on enhancing performance, security, and scalability to align with our strategic goals.
Role Summary:
As an IT Engineer, you will play a key role in our IT infrastructure transformation, utilising your skills in Microsoft 365 and Azure to optimise our systems. Your expertise will ensure that our IT infrastructure evolves in line with our business objectives, supporting seamless communication and collaboration across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure transformation project, focusing on the integration and optimisation of Microsoft 365 and Azure AD (Entra) services.
* Design, implement, and manage advanced Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions to meet business requirements for security, performance, and scalability.
* Strategically plan and enhance our Azure-hosted environment to maximise efficiency, security, and functionality.
* Develop and implement robust Active Directory and Azure AD strategies to enhance identity and access management across our hybrid infrastructure.
* Craft and enforce forward-thinking network and firewall architectures, applying best practices to safeguard our systems and optimise performance.
* Identify opportunities for IT infrastructure improvements, leading initiatives that drive innovation, efficiency, and resilience.
* Manage and prioritise a portfolio of IT projects, demonstrating exceptional leadership, time management, and decision-making skills in a dynamic environment.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing expert guidance and fostering teamwork to ensure the success of the IT transformation project.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Information Technology or a related field, with significant experience in IT infrastructure, particularly with Microsoft 365 and Azure.
* Proven track record of leading and delivering successful IT infrastructure transformation projects, especially in Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
* Expertise in network and firewall architecture, emphasising security, performance, and best practices.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing complex challenges and driving technical solutions.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience mentoring teams and driving cross-departmental collaboration on large-scale projects.
Key Skills and Competencies:
* Microsoft 365 Configuration & Management: Expert in configuring, managing, and optimising all aspects of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business. Skilled at driving adoption, managing migrations, and implementing advanced features.
* Azure AD (Entra) Implementation & Management: Expert knowledge in implementing, configuring, and managing Azure AD (Entra) for identity and access management, ensuring security and compliance across the organisation.
* Active Directory and Azure AD Management: Proficient in managing and optimising Active Directory and Azure AD, including synchronisation, group policy management, and user provisioning.
* Network & Firewall Architecture: Expert in designing and implementing secure network strategies and firewall architectures that support organisational needs, optimising for both security and performance.
